A veteran of the industry, Neil lived off grid in Spain for seven years, relying solely on a solar power setup that he had engineered and installed. Since returning to the UK, Neil has worked for Engensa and Belectric doing everything from solar Engineering, Procurement and Construction (“EPC”) to Operations and Maintenance (“O&M”). For a long time, Neil has recognised the gap in the market for an O&M provider who places great importance on customer service, and this year started his own O&M business with a focus on customer service and fast resolution times. He is now the Managing Director of Brighter Green Engineering.

There’s not a thing that happens at BGE that Matt doesn’t know about. With more than ten years of operations management experience, and having served in the army for a further five years, Matt runs a tight ship, ensuring that BGE's business operations and extensive portfolio of solar farms run smoothly. He was Regional Operations Manager for the Energy Division of AVC Group before working three years at Anesco as Project Manger, and later Operations Manager. Matt joined BGE in August 2016, and the office hasn’t quite been the same since…

Roy has experience in all forms of electrical engineering, extending from High Voltage works through to Commercial and Solar PV works, having worked previously in Toyota South Africas’ manufacturing plant in Kwazulu-Natal and large Commercial Solar PV installations for housing associations in the East Midlands and East Ridings. He is also Rope Access trained, where he once oversaw the cavity wall insulation of high rise buildings.

Being South African, Roy is a Rugby man (he’s still recovering from their recent World Cup losses to Japan and the All Blacks) who enjoys all things outdoors, particularly standing behind a “Braai” with a pair of tongs, or on a river bank with a fly rod in his hand.

Roy joins BGE as a Field Engineer where he will be overseeing the maintenance and operation of some of our sites throughout the Midlands, but predominately our largest site; Wymeswold Solar Farm.
