New market entrant, Brighter Green Engineering, celebrates new 22MW under management

Press release: London 8 October 2015 – Brighter Green Engineering, a new entrant in the UK solar Operations and Maintenance (O&M) industry, has won a series of O&M contracts with Renesola to maintain 22 MW of their solar plants in the Winchester and Newbury areas.

Headquartered in High Wycombe, giving access to solar plants across the M4/M40 corridor, Brighter Green Engineering differentiates itself from competitors with its commitment to have an engineer on site within three hours of a call-out, and to achieve resolution of problems on the first visit. All Brighter Green Engineering employees are highly trained engineers in the solar PV sector and are equipped to resolve issues on-site without the need to outsource work or call for support.

The Buckinghamshire-based company was launched as a subsidiary of dominant UK and global solar investor, Foresight Group (“Foresight”), and aims to become the prominent solar O&M provider in the UK within the next two years. With one of the largest portfolios of operational solar farms in the UK, Foresight recognised the value of an O&M provider with an all-in-one offering that responds quickly to call-out requests, and resolves issues rapidly and efficiently, as well as taking a people-focused approach to operations and maintenance, with a dedicated engineer for each plant.

Neil Buck, Managing Director, Brighter Green Engineering, commented:

“We saw a gap in the market for an O&M offering that puts the customer first. Too often, simple faults can take days to resolve due to drawn-out outsourcing problems, so we offer a one stop solution where our clients are supported by their regular, trusted engineer, rather than by several unknown workmen.

Brighter Green Engineering’s unique performance guarantee means that we take responsibility for maximising the uptime and investment potential of each site, guaranteeing a return for the owner.”
